The Division of Library Services is an integral partner in the
Charles Sturt University’s teaching, learning and research through
excellence in the provision of innovative library services,
accessible anywhere, anytime – "Library without walls".
The Access Services team delivers information resources to the
University community both on and off Campus, managing access to the
Library’s collection in conformance with library policies as well
as the physical and electronic delivery of material required by
staff and students which is sourced from outside the Library’s
collection. It ensures the quality, consistency and appropriateness
of these services. It has consistent Division-wide policies and
practices, with necessary face-to-face services delivered on each
Campus and other services delivered Division-wide.
The Access Services Manager: Oversees the delivery of high
quality, client focused services within the policies and procedures
developed for the Division by the Access Services Section; develops
and mentors a team working as part of the overall cross-campus
Access Services team, fostering a culture of continuous
improvement: In addition, as a member of the Access Services
management team, contributes to strategic planning, policy
development and risk management for the Operations Subdivision.

The Division of Library Services is an integral partner in the
University’s teaching, learning and research through excellence in

The Collection Services Section is responsible
for the development and management of the collection of
acquisitions, cataloguing, subscription services, datasets
management and space planning to house the physical
collections. The Section operates across all campuses of the
University, developing and delivering high quality, client focussed
services to on-campus and remote students and staff, onshore and
offshore.
The Manager, Collection Services leads and
manages the Collection Services Team overseeing the development and
delivery of high quality, client focussed services whilst
developing and mentoring a cross-campus team, fostering a culture
of continuous improvement. As a member of the Operations
Management Team, this position monitors the Section’s performance
and develops effective marketing strategies for the promotion of
services and contributes to the strategic planning, policy
development and risk management strategies of the Section.

Blue Mountains City Council Library Service is
seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual to coordinate
and manage the Information Services & Reference section.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused individual,
self-motivated and able to work across a multi-team
environment. Eligible for membership of ALIA, a tertiary
qualification or equivalent is required. The position is
responsible for managing the Library’s reference and information
enquiry service. Other duties include coordination of staff
training and supervision of support services, local studies,
children’s and young adult services.
You will be part of a team working to develop
new and innovative ways to strategically position the library
service in the local community to deliver quality services.
Regular circulation desk shifts are a requirement of this
position.
An ability to work cooperatively as part of a
team; excellent communication skills and commitment to quality
customer service principles, are essential. An awareness of
OH&S and EEO principles is required.
Salary range $1,050.02 to $1,165.59
